Indy Pride Hoosier 250 Tricycle Race 2007

On Sunday, May 20th I attended the Indy Pride 250 Tricycle Race to support the Talbott Team. This event (located in the parking lot on the southeast corner of College and Mass Ave) is held every year the weekend prior to the Indy 500 race as a benefit for Indy Pride. I captured several shots and since I just started this blog, here are a few of those. Check Them Out!! It was a great day for racing in the sun, complete with cocktails. The crew then proceeded to METRO down the street for a free outdoor BBQ and a few drinks on the patio. Good Times!! - Jared-

GALAXY REVEALED IN HIGH-RESOLUTION

I'm such a dork, but I thought that this was interesting. The Hubble Space Telescope has sent back the best view yet of a picture-perfect galaxy known as M81 or Bode's Galaxy, resolving single points of starlight as well as star clusters and glowing regions of fluorescent gas. The galaxy M81 looks much like our own Milky Way galaxy would from afar. M81, which lies 11.6 million light-years away in the northern constellation Ursa Major, is a popular target for astronomers and amateur stargazers. It can be seen in clear, dark skies with binoculars or a small telescope.

"Fergalicious......"

Since I just started this blog at the end of last week, I just thought I'd start sharing some previous experiences here within the past couple of weeks. Last Tuesday (May 22nd) I attended the Fergie Verizon VIP show at the Murat Egyptian Room. One thought that came to mind when I first walked in reminded me of the last time that I had actually been inside the Egyptian Room. This was the time when I was struck in the head by someone's shoe while they were crowd surfing around the mosh pit at a Green Day Concert. Good Times, Good Times!!! Anyway, this evening was far from any crowd surfing, but hey, the tickets were free. I actually felt as if I had been swept away, picked up and set down somewhere on the set of The OC for their Junior/Senior Enchantment Under the OC Prom Dance, complete with screaming teenage girls. Aside from all of that, it was T-T-T-T-T-Tasty, Tasty. CLICK HERE for a full write up at indystar.com.

Is It Ever Going To End?

At least 10 U.S. forces killed on Memorial Day; 112 slain in May; 5 Britons kidnapped; 40 die in Baghdad bomb blasts

Associated Press
Updated: 24 minutes ago

BAGHDAD - Ten American soldiers died in roadside bombings and a helicopter crash on Memorial Day, the military reported Tuesday, making May the deadliest month of the year for U.S. troops in Iraq. The American deaths raised the number of U.S. forces killed this month to at least 112, according to an Associated Press count assembled from U.S. military statements.

My Second Blog: 05.29.07

It's Tuesday morning and I am back at work. I hope that everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. Mine was great!! Thank you to everyone that made it out to "RISE" at Talbott Street on Saturday night. I had a blast. Thank you to everyone that has given me comments and feedback. I am glad to hear that the majority of the crowd has been enjoying the music that I am throwing out there. It's kind of a risk sometimes, not knowing how people are going to respond, but your comments and feedback give me great encouragement. What I feel is that music is meant to be heard and if it is not being played, then who is going to enjoy it? I really enjoy what I play, which is kind of all over the place, but I love it all. Some might say, "Jared, you were all over the place", Well that may be true, but at the same time, what I like to provide, is a little bit of everything. Something to appease the senses, and to provide an experience and a journey in a progression of sound.

(ap·pease (a-pēz') - To satisfy or relieve: appease one's thirst: quench one's thirst for new and uplifting music)

Friday, May 25th, 2007

I'm at work and have just created this blog on some
downtime. It's race weekend and downtown is decked out for a
big weekend. A Memorial service for veterans just took place on Monument Circle. I am watching the crowd disperse from
the southwest corner window of the 10th floor of the Chase
Tower. The parade is tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I'll
have a chance to check it out or not, I have a lot of work
to do this weekend. I will be glad once they clear the bleachers
from the streets of Meridian and Market Streets. They
make it difficult to walk around the circle during the noon
lunch hour, -JC-
