Scorching heat blamed for 33 deaths in the south, Raging wildfires in the northwest, torential downpours with raging floods in various parts of the world, Collapsing bridges in Minnesota, Collapsing Mines in Utah, Tropical storms in Texas/Hurricane Dean in the Atlantic, and numerous reports of earthquakes internationally, Japan and now Peru. I think that the earth is a little pissed off.
